Welcome Residents!

We are very excited to announce the news of our very own ManCo website at Oak Tree Gardens Hugglescote.

Can you believe it? The first ‘acorn’ was planted approximately a year ago! 

It’s when contact was made with two other Bloors developments, (who have had the same issues as us). We made contact with Richard at Shepton Mallet phase 7 and Nigel at The Dovecote, Oxfordshire.

Both developments have set up a ‘Residents’ Association’. So after a few initial meetings the Oak Tree Gardens Steering Group was set up. We then discovered that Nigel was in fact a director of Residents First. A company set up by him has also helped 85+ other developments to take control of their management companies (ManCos). We would like to take this opportunity to thank Nige for all of his time, patience!, and much needed advice, in our ‘Quest’ to be Resident-Led.

Much has happened since then, with numerous meetings, residents’ meetings, flyers & distribution, EGM November 2025, cancelled EGM, (NWLDC signing off S106 obligations & issue of Certificate of Compliance December 2025) re-organised AGM January 2026, resignation of non-resident directors, appointment of volunteer resident directors, grounds maintenance contract, managing agent contract agreement, company secretary (CoSec) contract agreement,etc.

We are now at the stage where communication with ALL (208) of  our members/residents is becoming extremely difficult, due to the various different social media groups, including the numerous WhatsApp groups and the FaceBook page, not everyone is a member of these different platforms, making communication with  ALL (208) difficult at times. This website should enable us to have a better platform for communication purposes with all of our residents  at Oak Tree Gardens.

The decision was made by the Board of Directors to establish our very own ManCo website, enabling us to communicate better with more transparency, with the ability of offering news articles, a blog, and a voting platform for any key decisions that require the membership/residents to vote on, and be included in the decision making process.
